Another skill acquired. I have always curious and wanting to learn photo retouching. As I am working as a freelance make-up artist too, I realized that acquiring this skill will be very beneficial. Last week, I had the time and try it myself. The result is not perfect yet, but it is sure better than my expectation.
The image on the left side is the raw image, unedited, shown in Image (1). As displayed, the model has troubled skin, such as uneven skin tone, acne, and blemishes. The first step carries out was to diminish the troubled area. It took time and patience to refine the area. The detailed works, such as evening out the tone of acne scars and mimicking the textures, was the most complex. The result of this step is shown in Image (2). After this part, the skin was softened while maintaining a skin-like finish which is shown in Image (3)

I was satisfied with the result and consider creating a beauty advertisement. In this project, I decided to create a simple advertisement for the Maybelline "Fit Me" Foundation. The advertisement showed the brand's message of offering a wide range of foundation for any skin tone.

In conclusion, I had so much fun doing this portfolio. I will make sure to learn better to achieve a professional level retouching skill.
