My mom used to tell me that I seem to have an interest in fashion since I was very young. At the age of only 3 years old, I would always pick my outfits myself when I went out with my family. As I grew older, I often accompany my little sister, mom, and grandma to shop for clothes for special events, especially during the Chinese New Year season. I would pick several items and ask them to try it on as if I am a professional stylist HAHAHA.
Since then, I feel that the fashion field is very fun! I often drew gowns on my notebooks during class. I also sometimes experiment with dolls, decorating Barbie or any dolls’ clothes or even transform other items, such as socks and towels, to create new garments. Thenceforward, my mom realized the potential and support me to keep focusing my study in fashion designing.
However, as time pass by, I am having difficulties picking what major I will be taking once I graduate from Secondary Highschool. Besides fashion, I did have an interest in designing the interior and the graphic designing field as I love to create visual arts. My selection came back and forth for years until the last 8 months before graduation.
"I have decided."
"I will choose the Fashion Business."
I have finished my Fashion Marketing & Management Diploma degree in Jakarta and am currently continuing my International Fashion Business Bachelor's degree in Singapore. Although at the beginning I'm not very sure what career I will be taking in the future, today I dream to be a fashion stylist or/and content strategist.
The main goal I would like to achieve is to be able to graduate the Bachelor's degree as well as expand and sharpen my skills and knowledge of the fashion industry to be ready for the career I will be taking in the future. I want to make my parents proud of what I have achieved.
